Apple has officially introduced the iPhone 17e, a powerful yet more affordable option in the iPhone 17 lineup.
Designed for users who want top performance without paying premium prices, the iPhone 17e brings major upgrades in speed, camera quality, display durability, and connectivity.
At the center of the iPhone 17e is Apple’s latest A19 chip. This new processor delivers fast and smooth performance for everyday tasks like browsing, gaming, streaming, and multitasking. Apps open quickly, graphics look sharper, and overall performance feels seamless.
The phone also features Apple’s new C1X cellular modem. It is up to two times faster than the C1 modem used in the iPhone 16e, offering improved connection speeds and better reliability when using mobile data.
Photography gets a big boost with the 48MP Fusion camera. Users can capture detailed photos, including advanced portrait shots with improved depth and clarity. The camera also supports 4K Dolby Vision video recording for high-quality video content. A built-in 2x Telephoto option provides optical-quality zoom, making it feel like you have two cameras in one device.
The iPhone 17e comes with a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display that delivers bright colors and sharp visuals. It is protected by Ceramic Shield 2, which offers three times better scratch resistance compared to the previous generation. The display also reduces glare, making it easier to view content outdoors.
MagSafe support is included, allowing fast wireless charging and compatibility with a wide range of accessories such as chargers, wallets, and cases.
For users who travel or spend time in remote areas, Apple’s satellite features provide added safety. When there is no cellular or Wi-Fi coverage, users can still access Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My via satellite to stay connected in critical situations.
The iPhone 17e is available in three premium matte finishes: black, white, and a new soft pink color. Pre-orders begin on Wednesday, March 4, and the device will officially be available starting Wednesday, March 11.
