Instagram is now available on Google TV devices in the United States, expanding its push into living room screens.
The rollout begins Tuesday, according to Instagram head Adam Mosseri, who shared the update on Threads.
The TV version of Instagram first launched on Amazon Fire TV in December. With the move to Google TV, more users will be able to watch Instagram Reels directly on their televisions.
The app organizes Reels into curated “channels” based on different topics and themes, making it easier to browse content from the couch. The expansion signals Instagram’s continued focus on video and its effort to compete for attention on bigger screens beyond smartphones.
