Apple’s iMessage experienced a rare outage on Thursday afternoon, leaving iPhone users unable to send or receive messages through the platform.
The outage also impacted FaceTime and HomeKit, according to Apple’s System Status dashboard.
The outage began around 2:49 PM PT and lasted for nearly an hour, finally resolving around 3:35 PM PT. During this time, iMessage users reported a range of issues, including messages not being sent, received, or delivered. Some users also reported issues with FaceTime calls and HomeKit functionality.

As of now, iMessage appears to be fully restored and functioning normally.
