Google has started notifying users about upcoming changes to their account region settings.
According to the company, these updates are meant to align services with local laws and provide a better user experience.
This change could impact how users access certain Google products and services. For example, some features may no longer be available, while others may require additional age verification. Users who manage supervised accounts through Family Link will also see the region updated for linked accounts.
Google noted that if the new region does not reflect a user’s actual place of residence, they can submit a request to update it.
The company advised users to review the Google Terms of Service and check the FAQ page for more details.
