Google Photos now allows users to undo backups, offering more flexibility in managing their cloud storage.
If you or someone else accidentally backed up your entire camera roll, you can now easily reverse it.
The new “Undo device backup” option, found in the app’s settings, removes images and videos from Google’s cloud storage while keeping them safe on your device. It also turns off automatic backups for that device.
Currently available to iOS users, this feature will soon roll out to Android devices, making it easier to control what gets stored in the cloud and prevent unwanted uploads.
