Google has once again been added back to Movies Anywhere, allowing users to see movies they purchased on Google Play and YouTube inside their Movies Anywhere library.

The connection had stopped working on October 31st, which caused Google-purchased films to disappear from user collections. That issue has now been resolved, and syncing has resumed.

Movies Anywhere confirmed the change on its support page, stating that support for Google as a digital retailer has been restored. Users simply need to reconnect their Google account, and their movie purchases will automatically appear in their Movies Anywhere collection. The process takes only a minute.

Many users may have also received an email from Movies Anywhere announcing Google’s return. The message includes a reconnect button that makes it easy to link accounts again. Google Play and YouTube are now listed once more among the active retailers on Movies Anywhere’s official website.

Movies Anywhere is operated by Disney, but neither Disney nor Google responded immediately to requests for comment about the temporary removal or the reason behind Google’s return.

For viewers who rely on Movies Anywhere to keep all their digital movie purchases in one place, this update restores a convenient feature that was briefly unavailable. Movies bought through Google Play or YouTube should now sync normally, just like purchases from other supported retailers.
