NVIDIA has officially brought GeForce NOW support to Firefox on Windows, giving Firefox users a new way to stream PC games without downloading games, installing large updates, or upgrading their hardware.

The service allows players to access more than 2,000 PC games directly through the browser.

Bringing cloud gaming to a browser is technically demanding because the experience depends heavily on fast responses and smooth frame delivery. NVIDIA and Mozilla have spent months working together to optimize GeForce NOW for Firefox and deliver the performance expected from a dedicated gaming platform.

Firefox users can now launch high-performance PC games directly from the browser without waiting for lengthy downloads or installations. GeForce NOW Ultimate members can stream games with GeForce RTX-powered performance at resolutions up to 1440p and frame rates of up to 120fps.

NVIDIA says Firefox met the standards required to provide the experience expected by GeForce NOW players. The addition also gives millions of Firefox users another option for accessing NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service.

Firefox also offers customization features that can make it easier for gamers to fit cloud gaming into their existing setup. Users can customize themes, colors, and tab settings, while features such as Split View allow them to keep other services open alongside their game.

That means players can have a Discord call running beside their game, keep a gaming guide open in another tab, or check Reddit between matches without having to switch to another browser.

GeForce NOW also works with game libraries from several major platforms. Players can connect libraries from Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Xbox PC Game Pass, and Ubisoft Connect, allowing them to stream supported games they already own or have access to.

Games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Fortnite are among the titles Firefox users can access through the service, depending on their GeForce NOW library and supported availability.
