The FBI has officially seized NSW2U.com, a well-known site used to distribute pirated Nintendo Switch games. Visitors to the site are now greeted with a seizure notice, confirming the FBI’s action under a warrant.
This crackdown, first reported by Kotaku, comes amid Nintendo’s ongoing fight against emulators, piracy, and modified game cartridges. The gaming giant has become increasingly aggressive, recently warning users that any attempt to mod the upcoming Switch 2 using unofficial Mig cartridges could lead to the console being permanently bricked.
Nintendo’s anti-piracy efforts have intensified in recent years, targeting both websites and individual developers involved in emulation or piracy.
The takedown of NSW2U marks another major step in its global campaign to protect its intellectual property.
