DuckDuckGo has introduced a new feature that blocks ads on YouTube directly within its browser.

The privacy-focused company says the update is enabled by default for users on Windows, Mac, and iOS, making it easier to watch YouTube videos with fewer interruptions.

According to a blog post from DuckDuckGo, the browser can also block “most video ads” on websites beyond YouTube. The company says this expands its built-in privacy and browsing protections without requiring users to install additional extensions or ad blockers.

Android users will also get the feature, but it won’t be enabled automatically. Instead, they will need to turn it on manually by opening the browser’s Settings menu and enabling the option.

The update is part of DuckDuckGo’s ongoing effort to improve privacy and deliver a cleaner browsing experience across its supported platforms.
