According to a report from Reuters, DHL Express has resumed sending packages worth more than $800 to customers in the United States.
Last week, the company had temporarily stopped these shipments because of a spike in customs checks, following the Trump administration’s new tariffs on goods from other countries.
Starting today, DHL says that shipments from businesses to consumers valued between $800 and $2,500 are once again using the usual “informal” customs process. The company also mentioned that shipments between businesses and packages worth under $800 were never affected by the pause. However, DHL has warned that some deliveries might still face delays when entering the US.
According to DHL, regular shipping operations are now back on track after having positive talks with the US government. The government showed a good understanding of the company’s concerns and promised to act quickly to help American customers.
