China’s AI startup DeepSeek is preparing to roll out its next major model, DeepSeek V4, and early reports suggest it will rely on chips built by Huawei Technologies.
The update could arrive within weeks, marking a key moment for China’s growing push to build advanced AI using its own hardware.
DeepSeek has reportedly been working closely with Huawei and Cambricon Technologies to fine-tune the model so it runs efficiently on locally made processors.
The company is also expected to release multiple versions of V4, each designed for different performance needs.
