Boeing, the world’s largest aerospace manufacturer, confirmed that it had been hit by a cyberattack.
The LockBit ransomware group claimed responsibility for the attack, saying that it had stolen a “significant amount of data” from Boeing. The group threatened to release the data if Boeing did not pay a ransom.

Boeing is the latest in a string of high-profile companies to be targeted by ransomware attacks. In recent months, other companies that have been hit by ransomware attacks include Colonial Pipeline, JBS Foods, and Kaseya.
