Apple Inc.’s stock market value closed above $3 trillion for the first time on Friday.
Shares of the world’s most valuable company jumped 2.3% to $193.97, giving it a market capitalization of $3.05 trillion, according to Refinitiv data. It was Apple’s fourth straight record-high close.
Apple’s market capitalization is now more than twice that of Microsoft, which is the second most valuable company in the world. The company’s stock has more than doubled in value over the past five years.
