Apple has started teasing the arrival of a new MacBook powered by its next-generation M5 chip.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Greg Joswiak, wrote, “something powerful is coming.” The short teaser video accompanying his post includes the words “coming soon” alongside the silhouette of a MacBook, cleverly shaped like the Roman numeral V, hinting at the “M5.”

Joswiak’s caption also reads “Mmmmm,” with five Ms, a playful nod to the M5 chip name.

The teaser aligns with recent reports from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who revealed that Apple plans to unveil a base-model MacBook Pro with an M5 chip later this week.

The M5 lineup appears to be rolling out rapidly, as unboxing videos of M5-powered iPad Pros have already surfaced online. Gurman added that Apple will officially announce those tablets this week as well.

Additionally, Apple is expected to unveil a new version of its Vision Pro headset featuring a faster chip. The device was recently spotted in an FCC filing, suggesting that the announcement could be imminent.
