Apple is paying $250 million to settle claims that it failed to deliver the AI-powered Siri features it had promised, and eligible iPhone owners in the US can now submit claims for a payment.
The settlement applies to people who purchased an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Eligible customers can submit a claim through the official settlement website.
The estimated payment is $25 per eligible device, although the amount could rise to as much as $95 depending on the number of claims filed. To submit a claim, users will need to provide their name, contact information, and the serial number of their eligible iPhone.
The deadline to file a claim is December 21, 2026.
The class action lawsuit argued that Apple created expectations that the AI features shown during its WWDC 2024 event would arrive alongside the iPhone 16. However, the iPhone 16 launched with a more limited selection of Apple Intelligence features, while the company later delayed its upgraded Siri.
Apple eventually introduced the AI-enhanced Siri with iOS 27 earlier this month. The company has denied wrongdoing as part of the case.
