Google’s November 2026 Android Security Bulletin lists 23 critical vulnerabilities across two patch levels and fixes a critical Framework flaw that could allow remote code execution without additional privileges or user interaction.
Tracked as CVE-2026-58868, it affects Android 14, 15, 16, 16 QPR2 and 17, according to Google’s November security bulletin.
The bulletin also lists two critical remote-code-execution flaws in the System component, CVE-2026-58876 and CVE-2026-58936, along with critical privilege-escalation and denial-of-service issues. One is CVE-2026-58882, the telephony denial-of-service flaw known as the “SMS of Death”, which can crash Android’s phone service after it receives a malformed WAP Push message.
The 2026-11-01 patch level covers Android Runtime, Framework and System issues. The 2026-11-05 level adds kernel and vendor fixes, including six critical kernel vulnerabilities, eight critical MediaTek modem flaws and one critical Qualcomm proprietary-software flaw. The exact components affected vary by device and chipset.
Google published the bulletin on November 2. The two patch levels separate the core Android fixes from additional kernel and hardware-vendor updates, with the 2026-11-05 level covering both groups.
