U.S. law enforcement has seized approximately $1 million worth of Bitcoin, along with four servers and nine domains, from a Russian ransomware group.

Officials say the seized assets were directly linked to the group’s ransomware activities, which targeted victims worldwide.

This latest seizure comes amid a broader crackdown on major malware and ransomware operations. Earlier this year, U.S. authorities indicted Rustam Rafailevich Gallyamov, a Russian national accused of leading the notorious Qakbot malware operation.

The Department of Justice also filed a civil forfeiture claim for more than $24 million in cryptocurrency and fiat currency tied to his criminal enterprise. In another high-profile action, law enforcement agencies disrupted the DanaBot malware network, which infected over 300,000 systems globally and caused an estimated $50 million in damages.
