LastPass is making mandatory changes to its user accounts, requiring all users to update their master passwords to a minimum of 12 characters.
This change comes in the wake of a recent data breach, where hackers gained access to a trove of encrypted LastPass user data. While the company assures users that their passwords were not leaked in the breach, the new policy is designed to further strengthen security and make it more difficult for hackers to crack master passwords.
The new security measures are being rolled out to all LastPass users over the next few weeks. Users will be prompted to update their master passwords the next time they log in to their accounts.
