The tech giant company Google announced on a blog post that it is making Meet, its video meeting tool is available for free to everyone.

Video-calling and conference apps have seen strong growth during the COVID-19 pandemic, as people stay in touch with loved ones and hold virtual meetings with colleagues. Zoom has enjoyed explosive growth, but now Google is fighting back by making its Google Meet platform free for all.

After September, free accounts will be limited to meetings that don’t run longer than 60 minutes, but until then, you can chat for as long as you want. The only other real limit is that meetings can’t have more than 100 participants.

Keen to try out Meet? Then you can visit meet.google.com to check it out.
